Live internet radio, played through a lo-fi tape deck. Press PLAY and turn things.
FRONT
- Buttons on top: previous station · play · stop · next station (same style)
- Masking tape: double-tap for a new style; the device changes colour
- Wheel (right side): drag up / down for speed (0.6× to 1.25×), slower is deeper and warped; double-tap = back to 1×
- Top stripe: drag sideways for the reverb amount
- Cassette: drag sideways for the lo-fi amount
- Bottom stripe: drag sideways for the volume
- Swipe the device, or use FRONT | BACK, to flip it
BACK
- Sticker under the battery door: the station playing now and its website
- Battery door: tap it to open the FX panel
FX PANEL
- LO-FI: TAPE or VINYL, each with its own five knobs (RADIO is coming)
- REVERB: ROOM, DARK, SPRING or PLATE, with MIX and SIZE
- ROUTE: which effect comes first
- BUFFER: how far behind live the tape can fall when you slow it down
- RESET: tap twice, every knob goes back to default
- Knobs: drag up / down, double-tap = default
BEHIND LIVE
Below 1× the tape falls behind the live radio. Above 1× it catches up again, but never passes live.
When the buffer is about to fill, the light on the device warns you and the status line counts down, then the tape skips ahead to live by itself.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Your settings are remembered in this browser.
- Nothing is recorded: the buffer lives in memory only.
